Beehive Establishment and Maintenance The Hive Tribe provides complete beehive maintenance services in a one-year subscription agreement. The agreement covers all twelve months of the year, since bees are active year round in Southern California.
To get you started, we come out to look at your site. If all is well we set up the woodenware, bring in the bees, and take care of your hives on your site throughout the year.
The annual fee for servicing your apiary may be adjusted if your site is far from our base in mid-city Los Angeles, or if the bee yard is otherwise difficult to access.
Your subscription covers semi-monthly hive visits, inspections, and honey harvesting, and can include optional mentoring. Mentoring takes place during your regular inspections, and it’s a fun chance to see the beautiful science and art of your bees up close.
We can also extract and bottle your honey for you. We keep every site’s honey separate and never mix honey from different locations, to keep the honey’s flavor pure.
